Committed to minimising our impact on our planet

Our environmental policy is pretty simple.

We look at everywhere the company affects the environment and ensure that all touch points are assessed, measured and that steps are taken to minimise and reduce the impact.

We’re very proud to have been awarded the Committed to Sustainability mark by the DPP.

The DPP Committed to Sustainability programme is an industry leading scheme celebrating and promoting good practice in environmental sustainability, across the media industry. Every aspect of our environmental impact and commitment to sustainability was assessed, you have to earn this, they don’t just give them away.

We’ve used Good Energy for 100% of our energy needs since 2008. All of Good Energy’s electricity is produced from renewable sources, it’s the only energy that they sell.

We’re very good at switching off appliances when not in use to reduce our consumption.

To minimise our impact on the wider environment we ensure that travel is minimised. Where we can, we use Zoom/Teams for meetings and public transport to travel when required. We’re right next door next to Goldhawk Road Station, a short walk from Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith stations and there are plenty of bus routes on our doorstep. And of course, we’re completely happy with remote post production workflows.

We have cycle parking in the garden and shower facilities in our building for clients and staff who choose to run or cycle to work. Our team either walk, run, catch public transport or cycle to work, including Harriet.

We work with Ecologi to support climate projects and offset our footprint, so far we have planted almost 4,000 trees around the world and offset almost 300 tonnes of carbon.

Assessing sustainability and environmental policies is a key factor in our decision making process when choosing products and suppliers, from our coffee and printer paper to our technology partners.

Founded in 2011, albert supports the global Film and TV industry to reduce the environmental impacts of production and to create content that supports a vision for a sustainable future.

We regularly recycle at least 50% of the waste that we produce, and we have a zero to landfill waste management provider, Western Riverside Waste Authority.

When disposing of electronic items we ensure that any supplier complies fully with WEEE regulation and as much of the equipment as possible can be recycled.

Where possible we don’t purchase products that contain plastic packaging.

We have a peaceful bee friendly garden with bike parking for our staff and clients to enjoy.
